An important memorial, but I didn't think the watch tower had too much else going for it. Free to enter and climb a couple of stories of internal ladder to get to the top and try to imagine what it might have been like to either be a guard looking out or someone trying to cross the border. A few interesting displays on the walls, but not somewhere that needs much time to explore. Now surrounded by apartment buildings.

Well preserved surveillance post for the old Berlin Wall. Now well hidden by surrounding apartment blocks. Located on the river side only 15 minutes walk from Hauptbahnhof .Open to view inside on weekends.

We normally go here to have lunch when it's sunny, there is a nice bakery around the corner were you can get sandwiches and coffee and you can sit on the stairs and enjoy the sight

Not terribly easy to find but very worth the effort. Amazing history. Follow the Berlin Wall signs.
Is occasionally open worth checking out the opening times if you want to go inside.

It's the memorial of the victim of Berlin Wall. Near the river and very near to my place. I cross this place almost daily while running :)

The tower among modern residential buildings and remaning length of wall convey the meaning of divided city far better than bigger wall memorials.

It's free and a must visit if you want to learn about the Berlin wall.
