The best food I've eaten to date in Berlin. It was also my first time eating Bulgarian food! The food in this place may not look designed, but the taste will bring anyone back home. For first timers, I also recommend going with a Bulgarian friend or two, who know what to order for first introductions.

Randomly and happily ran into this place. Very charming restaurant, lovely staff and delicious fresh traditional Bulgarian food. Amazing prices and quality. Totally recommend Mehana Paradis!

Very tasty food! The atmosphere is like a bulgarian traditional restaurant and they speak the language. The only thing I can nitpick on is the cleanliness. The seats outside especially had stains on them

Food there is great.
service, was good, then not so good, and now it's horrible.

I used to go here twice a week for soup and salad and chicken in breading.. no more!

I am changing my review from 5 stars to 2 stars because of deteriorating service. not only did the prices go up (which I understand, all prices go up now) but also portions have become smaller, now I get around half a bowl of soup... where once I remember it was quite full...
They used to toast the bread, now they serve it cold.
the cornflake breaded chicken that I like so much, not also, half a portion for 35% more price.

When I was there today, they even forgot to bring me the bottle of water I ordered, this can also happen. when the bill came and I mentioned it, they said they cannot deduct it from bill because I already ordered it...

again, for almost a year, I used to go there twice a week... then once a month, and now. no more!

Food so good you'll get takeaway after your meal. Atmosphere so cozy you'll forget what time it is. Staff so nice you'll become a regular.

Beautifully cooked Bulgarian cuisine. This is something of a stammtisch for me and my boys. The grilled chicken is a particular favourite, as is the chicken hearts cooked delicately in an onion-paprika sauce.

Next time we go here, I intend on getting the boys to dress up in scruffy leather jackets, ill fitting blue denim jeans and scuffed black shoes. We’ll park ourselves by the betting machines, spark up some Lidl-branded cigarettes and live our best Bulgarian mafia lives. Feels like the appropriate thing to do in this place.

Decent place for Bulgarian food. Try the Tsatsa with lemon accompanied by a beer. You'll have no problems finishing the whole plate.
Gambling machines, smoking and pretty questionable decor. But the food is good and the staff are friendly.
