Good German pub food. Not the best schnitzel I’ve had but still quite decent. The potato soup with bacon and sausage worked well as an appetizer. The portions are rather large. They offer a good selection of drinks, particularly beer on tap. The servers are all extremely nice and friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed. An enjoyable experience overall, but I found this place to be somewhat overpriced, given the quality of food and the location.

Visiting the Max und Moritz Wirtshaus was an unforgettable experience. With it's tall ceilings, stained glass windows and large ball room, the venue invites you to imagine times gone by and all the historical meetings that might have take place there. Candlelight is the predominant lighting, which adds to the historical vibe of the place. The food, traditional German cuisine, was freshly prepared, comforting and delicious and the servings generous. I especially appreciated the many vegetarian options and numerous vegetable side dishes. The place has a relaxed and family friendly atmosphere and the staff is friendly. I recommend this culinary experience!

Really good food, especially the schnitzel. The menu really gave us some good German cuisine options, and the guy who seemed to be the owner was very charismatic, charming, and spoke excellent English. Great selection of beer/drinks as well.

Price was pretty standard to what we’ve been seeing around the area. They only accept cash, though they tell you this as you walk through the door.pork

This is my "must" restaurant when I am in Berlin.
Definitely a German classic, even for a lifelong vegetarian like me.
Make sure to make a reservation and remember to bring cash as they are not taking cards.

Popular traditional German restaurant, gets very busy dinner time, best reserve table. Limited menu, pricey. Taste variable pending dish. Service rushed when busy.
