I think I have a new favourite Berlin restaurant.
There is a warm family vibe about the place.
The pisco sour aperitiv was a sign of things to come - lovingly prepared and delicious.
I went for the Nopal as a starter just because I wanted to try grilled cactus. I know this sounds odd, but it was the best salad I've ever had.
My partner has the Ceviche Nikkei and it was amazing, an envigorating explosion of flavour. I'm going to have it next time.
For mains I went with the Entrecôte and partner chose the duck. Both were excellent, my Entrecôte was perfectly cooked. Both were substantial portions, we asked for some of our mains to be boxed to take away so that we wouldn have room for dessert.
For desserts, deconstructed Lemon Pie for me and Chocolate fondant for my partner. The Lemon Pie took me back to my favourite dessert as a child, the biscuity base and the tart lemon - perfect.
I didn't try the Chocolate fondant - but it looked amazing.
This is a fascinating restaurant, I am keen to return soon.
