Currywurst has a steeped history in Berlin. However, I prefer not to know it. I'm sure the idea of a sausage draped in bog standard curry sauce, with fries that endure the further ignominy of ketchup and Mayo is one that delights visitors to Berlin, as much as it bores those who reside here. Your intrepid reviewer has shown respect for the poor little piggy that has been "processed", and opted for the bratwurst and mustard. The sausage is worth the wait; perfectly brought to heat, snappy skin, revealing a seasoned and fluffy interior. The mustard is decent. The chips sadly come from a place that is as German as a ball park hot dog. Similarly sad is the lack of offer of sauerkraut, with "cabbage salad" another sad concession. It's curious, decent commercial sauerkraut is as ubiquitous here as...well, processed piggies.
