Amazing authentic German cafe. A large variety of amazing cakes made fresh everyday. Prices were good as well. All around a very nice experience. Honey cake recommended!

It was my mom's first time visiting traditional German cafe and we had the best experience! Kind staff with excellent service and comfortable vibe at the cafe made us want to go again.
The taste of cake and coffee was unquestionably good, we devoured it as it was the best I have tried in Germany for a year.
And my mom usually has a headache after sugar, but due to some magic, she was good and happy without any headache :) I guess cakes here had just a right sweetness.

“Baumkuchen seit 1852”
Okay, that’s a 169 year old legacy- older than many democracies u0026 monarchs in the world.
-outdoor seating possible.
-Stroller/ Wheelchair ???? unfriendly.
-very polite u0026 friendly staff.
-would recommend Baumkuchen (the chocolate layer on the outside is hard as a tree) u0026 hot chocolate/ Latte macchiato.
-reasonable prices.
-Very clean restroom ????. The taps were annoyingly dysfunctional.
-possible to pay with card.
-in walking distance from Bellevue S Bahn Station.
-very crowded during weekends.
5/5 staff
5/5 cleanliness
5/5 Baumkuchen
5/5 easiness to reach the shop
1/5 inaccessible with a pram
Will I recommend?
Certainly to all the tourists. The locals love it anyway. Nice to be part of a chocolaty heritage.

Old-fashioned in the best sense, pleasant Café with great cake selection. Sitting outside is cute, inside it's a time travel into grandmother's home, if you're western European of the upper Bourgeoisie. Sweet crowd, probably full on any afternoon, but you'll find a table in one of the three rooms. On the photo: Linzer Kirschtorte

Visited for the baumkuchen we’ve seen Japanese gifting each other in the terrace house episodes.
I was very curious about the taste.
The place is right beside the canal with lovely outdoor seating. Definitely a bit classic when it comes to clientele, staff uniforms and even menu wise.

The ice cream is good, but the service is VERY POOR. We went there with two kids and took 4 ice creams with us. We sat at a free street table for literally 30 seconds to rub the hands of the kids and the waitress immediately ran out and drove us away, although only 1 or 2 tables were occupied by visitors.
We were shocked by the service.
