Very good value for money I thought. The location is just amazing. Every single staff member we met was friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The room we were in was quite small but perfectly clean. Breakfast was great with a good choice. Would definitely recommend and will be looking to stay here each time I return to Berlin.

Hotel Zarenhof is in a good location in Berlin, 5 min walk to nearest subway station and not far from shops, bars and restaurants! No air con, power to the room is activated by using room key in a slot inside the room, so no using random cards to power electricity while out for the day to charge other devices. Comfortable bed, powerful shower. Was loud outside the room during the day, but that isn't the hotels fault. Would stay here again.

A fairly nice quaint hotel at a budget price. The older rooms on second floor desperately need renovation. It was very musty and uncomfortable with curtains that you are afraid of touching. The carpet is old and unattractive and musty. The bathroom is quite nice though. The sheets and pillows were very torn and old. We had to endure alot of noise from below us so we hardly slept the first night. We had to ask for a change of room. Thankfully someone checked out the next day and we got the fifth floor which was ten times better. Breakfast area is small but cozy. There is also a red carpet leading to the elevator....not attractive at all. With some well needed renovation it can be a much nicer place.

Very nice small hotel. The staff is friendly. We enjoyed the wine left in the room. The location is excellent, in the middle of Berlin. We had to stay here while our apartment was being renovated for a few days last year. I recommended it to friends who visited us!

Average hotel for a decent price, but it still seems a bit expensive for what you get. The beds and pillows could be much more comfortable and the carpets and curtains (while not dirty) look a bit old. The rooms also have very little ventilation and no A/C which make them stuffy and musty unless your windows are open. The bathrooms look like they have been remodeled and updated which is nice and the tv is also quite big, but only offers German channels. The front desk personnel are pretty friendly and all of my requests have been met. They have also been very quick to clean our room and provide extra pillows, towels, and an ironing board immediately. Overall, a solid 3-star hotel, but rooms could be remodeled and updated and more amenities should be offered for the price.

Stayed for three nights. Very friendly and helpful staff, everything perfectly clean and tidy. We had 2 bedroom apt. with kitchen. The second bedroom (also TV equipped) is quite small, but our kids liked it???? All in all, we were very satisfied. If we ever visit Berlin again, this hotel is gonna be our first choice????
