The hotel is on the second (European first) floor of a residential building across the street from Winterfeldplatz. The signs are not well lit and the stairwells are worn, but the rooms themselves are newly renovated, large, bright, and very comfortable. You're paying for a nice room in a great location (in the middle of restaurants and a couple blocks from the Ubahn) and not the services associated with hotels. For instance, the front desk is only open 10am - 10pm, but we made arrangements to arrive late and they are available to answer questions via WhatsApp. You also have to pay to use the coffee machine, but you are across the street from a coffee shop and in the middle of many cafes. Our stay was great and my *only* complaint is that the wifi was too slow to do video conferencing. Otherwise, ...
* Great location
* Very friendly
* Very comfortable
My family was very satisfied.
