Cheap, clean, nice breakfasts and friendly staff. My only criticism and the reason I only gave it 4 stars is our room was up 7 flights of stairs, with no lift, which detracted from it's appeal after a long day walking around Berlin's many sights.

A nice place, and the guys running it are as nice as can be. It's the portrait of a traditional Berliner pension except as follows: it is clean, well kept, well maintained, bright, and cheery.

It's also nicely situated just far enough away from traffic to be peaceful, and is in a grand building among many grand buildings with an elegant, yet neighborly feel. It puts you in the hear of old West-Berlin, just as it once was, only much tidier. I heartily recommend it.

$235 eu Disaster - Two flights up to lobby(not lite at night), no A/C , no sleep on postage size pillow, had to pay an additional $180 eu for cancellation of second night. Very spartan old rooming house. Found another very nice hotel nearby and got a great room

Nice buliding with comfortable and spacious rooms. The breakfast was perfect and the hotel provides soap and towels too. Totally worth the money.

Guy at reception rang my mobile and told me to come to the room because he wanted to go and get some food, meaning I didn't eat in 24hours myself. Room was small, breakfast was paltry. Might be worse places, definitely will be better at same price though

I had a double room with a shared bathroom. Services were cleaned regularly and breakfast was good. Perfect spot for shopping (Kurfürstendammnear) Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtnis-Kirche-

Nice hotel with a very original design, large rooms. Good breakfast, helped print our boarding pass
