Excellent location!
An old building very nicely remodeled. Its thick walls and windows make the rooms very quiet despite having the tram line across the street. We stayed 4 nights and never heard any noises from other rooms.
Just be aware: they don't have a 24 hour reception, so make sure they have your contact information or let them know your arrival time so you can get a code for the key box.

Filthy rooms and non-existent service and communication from the hotel staff. Can't recommend this place to anyone. There are way better hotels in Berlin at this price range.

When we arrived in Berlin to check in at Hotel Adele at 4:30, the sign on the door stated that the reception desk would be open until 6 PM and gave a phone number to contact reception if needed. There was no one there to check us in, the door was locked and no one answered the phone. After several attempts, we booked a room in another hotel thinking that we would not have a place to stay for the night. After arriving at the second hotel, we saw an email from Hotel Adele explaining how to get in without anyone on staff. We asked to have a reduction in cost for that night due to the confusion and the misleading sign on the door but management refused. The family suite was dark with black walls but clean. All of the other hotels that we stayed in during our 10 day trip to Germany had pleasant and easy to access staff and management. I would not recommend staying at Hotel Adele.

Nice clean rooms. Rooms are quite big and nicely furnished. Would not call it design, however recommended if you are looking for a stylish hotel with fair prices.
Annoying: no parking at the hotel. Need to find a free spot at the street for 10 euros a day.

A small but tidy room. One of the cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen! The building had a lovely art deco feel. Staff are friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back.

I'll start with the good and go over the things that could be improved.

The good:
* Location is very central
* The rooms and toilets are spacious
* Decent standard in badrooms.

Now, the parts that could be improved...
* The cleaning. There was hairballs from the old guest when we arrived which we pointed out and it was dealt with later on. The furniture though are old and there were stains on the chairs, giving the feeling of staying in a hostel rather than a design hotel.

* The Stereo weren't working. Maybe we didn't figure out how to turn it out, but the reception weren't staffed when we found out and never bothered to mail/phone the staff.

* There was a broken light in the bathroom which blinked at random times. This was pointed out and weren't fixed during our stay.

* The rooms are VERY noisy. If not from traffic and people on the way to the clubs, then the noise will be from other residents in the building. The hotel does its business in the same building that has apartments and our room was below a family with small children that was very eary risers. I.e. forget about having a full night's sleep here.

* When the above were pointed out to the staff, I don't think it was handled very well and the guy at the reception went in full defensive mode. It could have been handled much more professionally.

As a summary, this is *not* a design hotel. The furniture and lights are neither chic nor do they go well together. The price/quality ratio is very bad and I wouldn't pay more than 80€ / night to stay here. I'd advice future patrons to choose any other hotel to stay, wether its for business or for holidays.

Charming hotel and very accessible, theres a tram stop just accross the street and it's not that far from Alexander platz. Late hours they'll have a specific entrance and you'll receive a code, which I found quite ok. Only checked in the next morning (they will send you an email explaining everything). The rooms are beautiful but the common areas are quite old. Breakfast is expensive but there are good alternatives nearby.
