The Hoppegarten is convenient.  It is located  just around the corner from Wulfstrasse where we stay in Berlin u0026 where our son's office is. He relies on this restaurant for most of his weekly lunch meals, especially when a daily special meets his fancy.    Eaten here a number of times breakfast u0026 noon specials.   I've gone to the Hoppegarten  to combine my meal with use of their  WiFi  to confirm my airline flights or catch up on mail or social media.  My last meal  at the Hoppengarten was  Schnitzel with fries  which is my favorite  daily special.     It was large, tasty, and delicious.   Very filling  at a  reasonable price under 7 Euros.  Hoppegarten has a dining area off to the side of the bar that is well lit from natural sunlight coming thru the windows.   The waitress who served our table of four was very friendly and professional.  No question when we return to Berlin for a visit, Hoppengarten will be one of our choices.

Serves breakfast till 13.00. Has a good selection of breakfasts and drinks. We saw men dining with a big dog which bothered absolutely no one. I don't think every place would be so hospitable in regards to pets!

I have been there for the first time and I have mixed experience.

Good things: good variety in menu, comfortable and cosy interior and pleasant visitors.

Bad things: service was not good at all as we waited for 20 minutes for menu then another 40 minutes for our breakfast. On the top of this, the waitress brought a plate for us ordered by a gentleman from a table next to ours. Then she took it from us and gave it to the him. So, my friend had to wait another 20 minutes to get his "right" order. As excuse, they gave him a small pancake + orange juice. Sorry, but Hoppegarten guys failed completely...they could make a breakfast for him free. Another thing, the food taste was 3 out of 5. The worst service I have ever experienced.

There is a significant room for improvement. This place can be much better.

If you are in the Steglitz area and looking for a place to have breakfast, this is the spot. Good prices, rich dishes and a good variety to chose from.
What I like most however is the loggia with big windows that is full of light in any season, which is a rarity for Berlin.

Just works well. Not crowed. Fast and friendly Service. Super breakfast. Prices mid-range. Different rooms for different moods (maybe not by purpose)

Terrorific service, the beer comes with a bee inside and they reuse to change it. Not good meal and xenofobic personal. They only accept credit card if you are a German if not they avoid to accept you card and they said that they don't speak english. Bad place bad food bad service, avoid this place if you are a tourist
