I have eaten here a few times now and the food is good, however service seems to be getting worse. Food took over an hour to be prepared despite the restaurant being at 30% capacity max. When asked if there was a problem, the waitress went to find out and never returned. The reason being one of us order the pork knuckle which takes longer - but this was never communicated so take this into account!
Not once did the waitress come over to offer us more drinks or ask if our food was ok. They didn't seem at all concerned that I didn't want to give any tip at the end. It is a shame, as the food was very delicious when it eventually arrived.

The service was lacking: the dishes took forever to arrive and when they did, some of us got the dishes we didn't order. The Pork Knuckle was pretty salty. With so many options in the area I would definitely skip Gugelhof.

Good location in the heart of Prenzlauer Berg. But sadly, the place has changed. It used to be some hearty German/Austrian cuisine in a cosy atmosphere, perfect for cold winter evenings. Now the staff is friendly but lacks professionalism, and the food is ok, but nothing special.

Bro, this is the place to get some amazing Alsacian kitchen. Had the Schweinehaxe and the gf had the Wienerschnitzel. Both of us cleaned our plates and could have ordered another round. Highly recommend

The food is good when you get it. The delivery time is very long. So I give you an advice: either you should arrive early or when you have ordered you go for a walk. Be prepared to wait for hours.

Very good cod, very good pheasant, schnitzel ok, choucroute I guess you have to love it. Very good desserts. Wines good. Professional service. Absolutely recommendable
