This hotel was really great, from the staff greeting the the room rental, everything was very smooth and pleasant.
The one and only small issue is that the carpets are a little worn, though this very small detail is eclipsed by all the good things.
Late at night, there is some noise from other guests, though it wasn't enough noise to disturb us.
The location wasn't great, though not bad either.
We were very pleasantly surprised by Good Morning+ Berlin and would recommend it to anyone looking for a very comfortable and safe place to stay.

Cons:
The rooms have no air-conditioning so on hot nights we had to sleep with our windows open and the street outside was very busy and noisy. Although the rooms were clean is was very outdated and I tried my best not to think about the carpet. The location is terrible. It took us nearly an hour to get to and from the city. There's no refrigerator in the room to have cold beverages available. The TV is ancient. You can hear every little noise in the hall especially since they put us next to the elevator. There was only 2 pillows in the room so we only had one each.
Pros:
I found the staff at the front desk to be very friendly and helpful. They have a very large breakfast buffet. The shower had plenty of water pressure and the soaps smelled nice.

Weird experience. This is the first time I was in Berlin. I was trying to book 2 days before my stay and there were not many options available for my selected days. I don't have any good references to compare to when it comes to Germany, maybe it is standard there. I've staid in hotels in Sweden, Norway, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Austria and also in a few hotels in Asia and I must admit this was the worst place I've ever been to. It is very dirty and not maintained for a while, first thing I noticed is the dirty walls and carpets, the bathroom was full of dust in the corners, the shower head was disgusting, the towels are on a budget. Lack of electricity outlets was a surprise also, I've never thought I would complain about this in 2022. The pillows are also bad. No air-conditioning, if you try to get a nap during the day with the windows open then the noisy street is a big issue. The breakfast was decent though and the service is well. To sum it up though, I never thought that these kind of 'Hotels' exist in western Europe. I talked with some people that were staying in Berlin during the same time and we concluded that for the same price you can get much better options in Berlin for the same price.

The worst and disgusting place you ever want to be , especially paying such a huge price.
We couldn’t find any room in the other hotels and had to book this one from Expedia where the hotel is specified as 3.5 star.

The reception and the hotel building looks appealing and will trick the boarders to check in.

Once you check in, the ghastly place will make you puke!!!

The reception staff are dressed so appropriately that no other 5 star rated hoteliers wouldn’t be their match.

There is no AC in the rooms. You just have to open the windows. No lighting near the door entrances, you should enter in and turn on the bedroom lights for visibility near the entrance.

The window curtains have stains. The bed given to us has sheets with stains.

The carpets are disgusting with the stains. We paid $550 EUR for 3 nights stay as we have no choice, but this hotel doesn’t deserve such huge tariffs if they intend to keep their carpets the same.

We decided to stay at the GoodMorning + Berlin City East hotel and we were thoroughly disappointed.

The staff at the reception was extremely Rude, especially Connie. At 12:05 she called the room phone and threatened us with a Surcharge, while we were packing our bags. We felt very uncomfortable and rushed.

However, the rooms are a decent size and the cleaning staff is wonderful and definitely makes sure to leave the room in a nice shape.

Aside from the location being where god lost his sandals, and the genuinely unwelcoming staff. It’s a good hotel if you just need to sleep.

The two stars are for the cleaning staff and their kindness.

If you've ever been to Soviet summer camps, you will understand how rooms and corridors look and smell like. Photos don't match reality at all. Would pay for such kind of room up to 15€/nicht, but not a cent more. The stuff although, is very friendly and helpful

I don't want to sound rude, but it was the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed at (and I am not even a picky person). The carpets throughout the hotel (except the reception) are full of huge dirty stains (water infiltration, food stains, God knows what else). The furniture is old and to me the tepestry of the chairs somehow dirty(I put a towel on my chair before sitting down). My company paid for this hotel without knowing how bad the conditions are.
It is not the fault of the people working there ( the guys at the reception were nice, the restaurant workers seemed also ok), but of the owner and of the institutions responsible for the hygiene control in hotels. That this hotel (in a developed country) is still allowed to function, it blows my mind.
