Amazing place to be! The Bridge has a rich history as it divided the West Berlin and the East Germany. While walking you will still a White Line of the Wall. Must visit place, there is also a way to go below the bridge I go there to relax with a book and some snack with me. There are some Palaces near by, which can be visited too.

If you are a movie buff, you know why this bridge is famous. And if you are German, you already know the historical significance.
Highly recommended for history lovers and as well as nature lovers.

The bridge is spies... It's a lot smaller, but equally as interesting when you cross it yourself.

It's fun to imagine walking from the East side where all the nice decorative pieces and the wall crossed, to your freedom in the West.

A very old long-distance path with the only narrow ford to cross the Havel has existed here for a long time. In the last centuries this strategically favorably situated place got a more diverse meaning and survived some warlike epochs often changed. With the bridge and collonades, there is now an intact ensemble of contemporary history right next to the lake and park.

Glieniker Brücke - featured in many stories, novels and even a movie. The symbol of the cold war. Where East Germany (in the West) meets West Berlin (in the East of the bridge). If you are aware of the history, it is great to see that you can simply cross it by car, bicycle or walking. If not, it's just another bridge in the beautiful landscape of lakes and gardens in Potsdam.

Love it. Very nice steel bridge. There is a garden below the bridge by the river where you can set and relax. Many activities in the river. Tue bridge connects potsdam to Wannsee. The bridge appeared in the american spy movie, bridge of spies where they exchanged the prisoners, russian spy and american pilots.
You can go to the there by the Tram (Straßenbahn) from the city center. There also a deck where small boats can stop below the bridge to pickup people and move.
