The flavors really hit the mark. The ingredients are fresh, well seasoned and has a good presentation. Favorite is the grilled octopus with salsa verde. It’s a bit on the pricier side since the portions are small (like an overgrown tapas). The place has a nice ambience and the servers were friendly.

FunkyFisch offers seafood from around the world. Although we arrived without a reservation, the hostess very nicely and diligently offered us a table for two. The waiters were very friendly and professional. Everything we tried was perfect. I particularly enjoyed their interpretation of fish ceviche. They also have a fine selection of wines to match your choice of dish. The place is well located within walking distance from the Savignyplatz S-Bahn station. Highly recommended.

After the amazing dinner we had at 893, we have decided to check out the other restaurants of chef Ngo. This time we arrived for lunch at the FunkyFisch. We were not surprised to to receive an amazing food with calm atmosphere followed by a great service. Highly recommended!

Everything has its price, and in 2021 berlin, fish is pricey! Your author worked in Hamburg in 1983, and turbo would come into the kitchen around 11kg. The cheek meat was a meal! The baby we got our 213g slice from wouldn't have weighed more than 750g. And our little, perfectly cooked yummy slither was €38; a serious price...though it comes with a good remoulade and salsa Verde, and a little soused cauliflower. The bouillabaisse at €8, with aioli (rouille is more the measure, but the aioli was sublime) and yum bum toasts is great value. The cervice is a decent swing at something you've had often. The fries are the only let down...the wrong spuds for the job; limp and oily. The wine list is excellent, with good choices by the glass, at fair prices. The service is all knowing and seeing wisdom. It doesn't feel like the high end of the ponserosa, but the prices, service and cookery affirms the package.

What an incredible place. Accidentally stumbled upon it. Staff are super nice and look after you really well, and the food is just perfect. The bouillabaisse is probably the best I ever had. Highly recommended, you won’t regret it!

It’s been a while since we’ve visited this restaurant for the last time (damn you lockdown!) but I can still remember it was a great evening. The food is truly delicious, and what we loved the most was the Funky Fisch Salat. The staff is extremely professional and friendly. Highly recommend!
