In a town with more Turkish restaurants than Constantinople (more gravitas than Istanbul), an Israeli place has gotta swing and hit it outta the park. Anyway, at this price, it needs to wow, at least occasionally around a very good median. There are some decent elements in the €55 shared mish mash. Very good hummus is key, and they deliver. Likewise the very good felafel. They beetroot capaccio would rate well if the eggplant chips were crisp to order...sadly not. The babaganoush is lacking the smokiness we deserve. The Israeli salad, while a perfect small dice (big ups apprentice chef!) Sogs underbthevweight of waiting in the fidge, and yet it's served twice. The cabbage salads can't cut it in a town that knows its cabbage like it knows bratwurst. The tahini also doesn't shine enough to make 2 bowls full of appearances. The whole thing is ok, in a vibe, price and town that sorely needs miznon standard Israeli fare...the brothers across the Mediterranean need you to represent!
