Great place to visit if you are a Bonhoeffer fan or just have a casual interest. The house director was very nice. We showed up on a Saturday during the open hours about 11, my wife and I were the only people there and we received a private tour.
The house is funded of donations and there was no pressure to “donate.”

Also... if you’ve read Metaxes book, a lot of the photos hanging up will look very familiar.

A wonderful experience and visit. I requested a last-minute tour and lovely lady named Ingrid opened the house and let us visit. It truly brings to life everything I have read about Bonhoeffer. I left feeling so thankful for him, his family and life. If you admire Bonhoeffer or have read his works, visit this house.

Dietrich Bonhoeffer was a lover of God. He was a good man who tried to do something to rid his country of the evil that was Hitler and his minions. I am so thankful for his life. He was arrested by the Gestapo in the attic bedroom of this house. It was a solemn event just to stand in this room. His writing desk is there along with the bookshelves the he and Bethge made and installed. Thank you for preserving this house. I loved being there.
