German soul food - One of Friedrichshains best and oldest places with real vintage interior, although food is priority here. Loved it!

The food is very good, I love to go and order the specialties of the day. The decoration is very Berliner, like a traditional grandmother's house, the service is good and the atmosphere is very welcoming. One of my favorites in the neighborhood.

Had to fight to get tap water served. Waited 2 hours for our food. Poor waitress was alone with all the tables. Don't go there. Unless you want to become really hungry... Food was average when it arrived. Even with holes in our stomachs. It's a pity, because interior and music are really nice. I'd love to recommend it but can't. Bad experience.

Fantastic food, including dessert. Unique, eclectic environment. Dine from couches and living room chairs. Service is slow, but worth the wait. Dined with a group of 7, we all ordered something different and shared. No one was dissapointed in any of the dishes. They do not speak English here so go prepared with a translator app. We translated basics from the menu and just took our chances. All were great as said before. Also, they only take German cards so bring cash. Service was about 2 1/2 hours. So be prepared for it to take some time as others mentioned. Food, especially variety of schnitzel well worth the time.

Fun, eccentric place, lovely owners (he does a great comic turn). The food is good, solid, large portions. The dishes we chose weren't exceptional - but we were still REALLY glad to have gone for the service and atmosphere. (Example - I had calves liver, which was good but I'd rather it had been trimmed and had half the amount than untrimmed and very manly portions).

Great home style food, nothing fancy, just good old fashioned food like a German mother might make. Really enjoyed the food, the women was great too. Word of warning they don't have English menus so be prepared to translate if you're not a local.

Very nice interior. Big variety of authentic German food. Typical "Berliner Schnauze" waitress, attentive and fast. I had a Christmas dinner with my colleagues and boss there.
