Ellington Hotel Berlin

They cancelled my booking on short notice without any explanation, without any pardon, and without any communication. Now I have to scramble for a room elsewhere, at of course higher rates. Very unreliable!

Thank you for taking the time to reply to my review. I understand hotels will be sold and/or discontinued at any given moment. It would have been nice though if you would have informed your customers, instead of a plain cancellation. All the best to you and the staff in finding new employment. Thank you.

One star for the great location
One star for its cleanness
One star for its staff.

Dropping a star because the shower was literally facing the window and buildings across the street. Extremely uncomfortable bathroom in general. The toilet was separate, the sink was in the middle of the room. The curtain was annoying too. Closing it was a challenge. It consists of 4 narrow curtains, which you had to somehow overlap them to fill in the gap.

Dropping another star for not having a room service for food and drink!!!!

Enjoyed my stay here. It's a little spare and small in the rooms but the breakfast (free) is fantastic and they'll store your bag for you if you arrive too early. The location is a great launching pad if you're in Berlin as a tourist, and it's close to several public transport options. I would stay here again.

A cozy summer dinner in the restaurant. A quite place in the western heart of Berlin. Food was fresh and very tasty, service was incredible. Not the cheapest place to go but worth every cent

Had a lovely stay. Comfortable room, fabulous breakfast (my main criterion for a great hotel). Very attentive and helpful staff. Received a little chocolate on 6.12. (St. Nicholas day). Highly recommend the restaurant, too.

Very easy friendly check-in experience. Staff was friendly and spoke perfect English. Rooms had good layout and are comfortable. Very fast and stable internet connection. In room air conditioner control worked well. Good location near public transit. I would stay here again without hesitation.

A truly excellent stay. Great location. Quiet spacious superior room on high floor. Delightful helpful staff. Only slight niggle is slow WiFi (unless you pay a premium). Recommended.
