El Xampanyet serve substandard food and drinks. The “tapas“ plate included microwaved octopus (microwaving octopus is not a good idea), artichoke and 10 slices of bread with toppings that tasted slighty off (for 35 Euro). The red wine tasted off and we needed to repeat our order three times. If the meal cost half the price it would be acceptable, but the food really was not good. A very disappointing experience.

Was the only Place Open on Schönhauser Allee on a Friday night that could seat 7, and now we know why.

18€ a head tapas, plus some rose champagne he wouldn’t shut up about presented very few drink alternatives to.

Had to get pizza after because we were still starving, what kind of tapas spread doesn’t have chorizo, manchego cheese or Patatas bravas?

Only resort to this place if the bio store across the roads is closed.

Superb champagne, tasty tapas and a charming atmosphere. Neither cheap nor expensive. Top service and a definite recommendation.

We payed nearly 50 Euro for 2 very small tapas and two small tortillas plus water. Still hungry and broke we left.

Don’t believe google maps, that they’re opened at 5 pm. They never are. Champagne and service is good though

My favorite spot in town, delicious food, and more delicious deserts ... a great, awesome, cosy please!
