Rooms are large and beds are extremely comfortable, however the bathrooms need updating. Everything was clean and quiet. Customer service was good and allowed me to change rooms to be with my friends. I would recommend if an update was done. Location is good and close to everything

Cosy, relatively clean, in large rooms there is enough space, so they don't seem too crowded. Bar open 24/7, so you can grab a beer when you are back from the city center. Large bathrooms, separate from toilets. Breakfast looked good though we decided to eat out. Staff was polite, helpful and quite nice. Music in bar was not annoying.

I got to stay there for a night. The rooms were in good condition, and the people I've stayed with were respectful.
Everything was clean and comfortable, the staff offered towels and locks for a refundable deposit, and there was a light and cheap breakfast. The staff were very polite, so it's a great place for travelers on a budget who don't mind sharing a room.

Really good location , comfy and spacious rooms helpful staff . Common area is really nice and a really good way to meet peoole. They also let you store your bags for free in the storage room which is locked. Some people think the showers were not as clean as other hostels. They are not as powerful as others and you have to keep pressing the button. Overall, a really good hostel

No AC, but the windows allow enough air flow that it was comfortable. Nice courtyard with trees and tables. Good breakfast. Good location. Beds were solid and didn't squeak. Showers were private.

Out of the 12 hostels we stayed at during our 5-week adventure, Citystay was definitely one of the better ones. The rooms are clean and lively decorated, the common rooms are large and invite strangers to start conversation with you, their reception is also a cafe and bar, and there's a long table full of phamplets for things to do.

The other reviews that say the washrooms are a bit scary, are accurate. It's like being in a tall, narrow, jail cell that brings you cleanliness and happiness when all is said and done. A bit of upgrading would be nice.

The level of security at this hostel makes you feel really safe, and there's always good music playing in the lobby, which matches Berlin's cool young people vibe. The staff and rules are really reasonable - you pay a 2€ deposit for your key card, which you get back upon checkout. There are plenty of showers and bathrooms available, and the water is hot; I never had a problem with that. They clean the bathrooms every morning, which is great.
