It was more like an Indian restaurant than Calcutta. As I'm originally from Calcutta I was expecting some authentic Bengali food, but, it had Indian cuisines...which is not specific to Calcutta.

But, overall, I do not have complaints. The decoration were great, they represent old Bengali culture. There are Bengali staffs and waiters who speak fluent German. The food is of course delicious, (no matter if it's Indian or bengalish ????).

They also have a wide range of drinks (alcohols, juices, joghurt drinks, etc). They have sitting places both outside and inside. It was a friendly ambience with old Indian music playing in the background. The quantity of food is too much, it's gonna make your tummy terribly full. ????????

Being a person of color, I requested for my lamb vindaloo to be (extra) spicy and the owner just looked at me and said "lamb vindaloo is ALWAYS spicy" When I tell you it wasn't even black pepper-spicy... However, the amount of food I received in my takeaway order was pretty good. Doubtful there will be a second visit, though...

Best Food and great restaurant..it is one of the oldest Indian restaurant in Berlin, very authentic food.

The owner Mr. kachru is a great host, would recommend all to visit and enjoy the ambiance and food ????

Oldest Indian restaurant in Germany and by far one of the most authentic. Highly recommend!
