Went there to relax and work on some drawing.
But could tell very quickly it wouldn’t be a place I could do this.
Even though two waitresses were on and it’s a small place, the owner/manager was still floating about the floor, I could feel him watching everything. This mightn’t be a problem for people as he wasn’t givin off a bad vibe or anything, but he kept taking over the waitresses duties when relating and dealing with customers. I mean why was he (presumably) employing these two people if he was goin to do their work for them? Granted, he could have been doin staff training-in that day. But both of them, really? ..Unlikely.
It felt like he needed to be in control all the time, because of this it Wasn’t a relaxed environment to work in, at least not for me.
Don’t get me wrong this may be a minority perception/opinion of the place as the rest of customers seemed calm and content.
For me It felt As though the whole scenario was very much under his direction, and That by coming to his cafe ordering, sitting and being a customer I was agreeing to be part of his film set. Not for me.
Won’t go back.
