We had the following dishes at this place. Had the vegetable pasta, salmon and Mr and Mrs rump steak. This was a pleasant surprise the service was excellent the food was great and tasty. Steaks and salmon were done very well by that I mean the rare was rare and the medium rare was medium rare and the salmon was not dry. The vegetable pasta is a great alternative if you're not looking for a meat. We had dessert and each of them were excellent. The strawberry ice cream was probably one of the best ones I've ever had. We had the chocolate lava cake and the cheesecake. Both of these were excellent also. I would highly recommend the Blockhouse for you to go out to eat at a reasonable price for great value and ambience.

We headed to the place as we were right after long train journey and were looking for something nearby. Classic steakhouse interior and contrary to other reviews polite staff. Their steaks are decent and you get potatoes, bread and salad coming with each. Nice selection of wines too. Overall nice experience and great value for money, although I am sure there is plenty of better steakhouses around.

Well, just perfect. Supper delicious food, nice staff, location is great.
Raw meat and Tbone stake was perfect. Must try it

Nice restaurant. The staff is nice and friendly.

They have a variety of options on the menu, even vegetarian! It's a good place for an office outing with colleagues or with family.

This picture does not make justice to the WONDERFUL rib-eye I had at Block House! That is my fault: the food was so good that I almost forgot to take the picture! The meat was perfectly cooked medium; the baked potato was awesome and the sour cream was delicious. I had also a small house salad (Italian dressing). The service was super efficient. My salad arrived right after the drinks and the meat as soon as I finished the salad. Perfect timing! We stayed in the NH hotel near by (2 min walk). The atmosphere of the place is casual. I noticed a mix of tourists (speaking English) and local Germans. The place was open until 10 PM on Sunday night. I would definitely return and I recommend if you like meat. By the way, they had a few options for vegetarians too. We closed our meal with a lava cake. Excellent!

The food tasted amazing! The prices were also reasonable and the staff was nice! However, I did feel unwell right after my meal and we proceeded to leave quickly

It was a great dinner experience. The food was great, and so was the service and the location. We ordered two steaks filet, the american tenderloin and the filet mignon. Both were excellent, but the filet mignon had more juiciness and flavour. The salad was very fresh and well seasoned. The potatoe was well cooked and filling, and we got an extra side of sour cream. The dessert was fantastic! One of the Great lava cakes I had, and I have not had many great ones. Overall very nice!
