My friends and I had an incredibly disappointing experience at the restaurant. A little context is necessary. We arrived in Berlin, three young Americans extremely excited to be in the city, and stumbled upon this cafe. We immediately made friends with the waiter, Lowgitz, who took it upon himself to befriend us, provide recommendations, and ask for a handsome tip. We left happy and returned a few days later, greeted by the same waiter as his "three American friends". The waiter and the manager/bartender proceeded to serve us two drinks we did not order, all of which contained absolutely no alcohol, and requested we paid the bill immediately. A bit confused by the interaction, we soon realized they had scammed us and confronted our "friend". Him and the manager bounced off each other, gaslighting us into thinking it was our fault as opposed to owning up to it or apologizing. They made us pay for the tonic water we didn't order and we ended up leaving very upset. If you are a tourist or someone who does not like being served by a shady business that takes advantage of your trust, do not go here. Not only did this waiter take advantage of us, the manager defending their attempt to scam us and then proceeded to blame us for it. Left a bad taste about Berlin in our mouths that led me to this review.
