Very good schnitzel! Service was quick and very kind despite our complete lack of German. Also really liked their sour kraut!

I would like to say that the service here is great or their food is delicious, but I didn't got to even read the menu. It is actually very sad when after your long day of discovering the city and just walking and walking from museum to museum you find just the perfect place, it looks delicious, home made and it has great reviews, you get lost and spend an hour trying to get to this place but you keep going because you feel this is good and traditional. So I finally get there and it smells delicious, the other customers seem to be enjoying their meals, so I just tell the first person I see that I want to eat in english, because I don't speak any german and suddenly he just answers in german, I thought I got it and I sat down in the closest table, he went to serve some beers and when he returns he just starts not exactly to yell at me, but stronger and of course I don't get a thing, I thought it was because of the table, so I pick my stuff and I make some signs to make him know that I wanna know if it's possible to sit on the other part. I didn't get a thing of what he said, but his tone and corporal language were talking, I was being kicked out of the place, I even remember another customer looking at him in a strange way.

I don't ask for bilingual staff, but if they are at such an important touristic city, at least they should be a bit open minded. This man just needed to point out a table where I could seat and give me the menu. I left the place feeling humiliated.

In need of a proper Warm real German place then this is the one. A real treat! Fantastic meat, very generous portions and warm vibe.

Leckere Hausmannskost! Roulade frisch und lecker, sehr zartes Fleisch. Preis in Ordnung, 1,50€ über dem
Preis in der gedruckten Speisekarte (Hinweis erfolgte aber bei der Bestellung).
Eine etwas großzügigere Salatbeilage wäre toll gewesen.

Inneneinrichtung sehr rustikal: obwohl niemand rauchte, hatte ich den Eindruck, dass hier Rauch in der Luft lag (oder von früher noch in den Wänden und Möbeln?) - ein kleiner Frühjahrsputz wäre auch nicht schlecht, Stichwort: Staub/Spinnweben.
