I just got an ankle operation there and had a fantastic experience. I got a room entirely for myself, all the nurses, doctors and everyone I met were very kind, everything went very smooth. I felt safe and comfortable all the time.

I had an endoscopy and colonoscopy done at the hospital. All the nurses were extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating to all my questions. The hospital is clean and organised. The operation itself was painless because I didn't feel anything as I was given a sedative (Propofol). My first time at a hospital in Germany and I am very happy with the experience. Thank you to everyone.

This hospital is horrible, and after the experience my mother had there, I wouldn't trust anyone's healthcare to this facility. My mother developed a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) while she was visiting me in Berlin, so I took her to the emergency room here. She ended up being in the hospital for more than 3 weeks, mostly due to the hospital's incompetence and series of errors. It took them 7 days just to diagnose the UTI and begin treatment. In the days leading up to the diagnosis, they performed all kinds of other, very expensive tests, including a CT scan and MRI. They administered various neuroleptic medications without any permission, medications that made things even worse. They housed a COVID-19 positive patient in my mother's room, exposing her to the deadly virus. Fortunately, she did not develop COVID-19, but she spent an extra 10 days in an isolation unit because of the hospital's error. But worst of all, several medical staff tried to convince me that it was my mother's time to die, because she is old.

My mother spent most of her stay in the Geriatric Unit, except for the 10 days in isolation after the hospital exposed her to a COVID-19 positive patient. I learned from a number of acquaintances that this is quite common in the Geriatric Unit, to expose patients being treated for something else to COVID-19 positive patients. They all end up going into the isolation unit for 10 days, which the hospital then includes on their bill. The staff in the Geriatric Unit - especially the female "Oberarzt" - have no empathy, no compassion, and appear to be young, inexperienced staff fresh out of medical school. She disputed that my mother had a UTI the entire first week, each time I asked if her urine had been checked, until the diagnosis was confirmed. They all claim to be too busy to speak with family, and they offered only one 15-minute telephone call appointment each week to discuss things with the doctor.

I am happy to say my mother is back home in the USA and now, after a long recovery, she's doing well. I would urge anyone reading these reviews to consider using another hospital, instead of this one - ESPECIALLY if the patient is elderly. Sadly, I read other reviews on here and heard stories from acquaintances about elderly patients who went into the hospital for a relatively minor issue, and they ended up dying.

(Translated by Google) Very nice building. Modern. Due to Corona, you are not allowed to receive visits to the hospital. You can meet outside. Unfortunately there aren't that many places. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only negative is that the hospital has no air conditioning. The rooms were very hot. All in all the hospital is very good.

Sehr schönes Gebäude. Modern.
