I ordered the green curry, my partner got fried noodles with beef, child got french fries and gyros meat.
What can I say: the green curry was pretty much inedible. The color alone told me: it can't taste good at all. There was no coconut milk in it at all, but obviously a sauce made from some ready-mixed mix, plus totally overcooked rice porridge ... just a shame about the meat and the ingredients! The fried noodles still contained remains of an eggshell ... it would not be the end of the world in itself, it can happen. But the dish was oozing with fat, the natural taste of vegetables and pasta barely recognizable. Only the gyros meat and french fries from the child were ok, but what was annoying was that we had to order the full portion. Had asked beforehand whether we could just have half the portion and pay because there were no children's dishes on the menu ... but was categorically not possible.

Hab vor etwa 1 Monat als ich bei jemandem zu Besuch war bei Lauer Grill in Barmen das Grüne Curry probiert. War super! Sehr lecker, ohne Glutamat, tolle Schärfe, mit Kokosmilch, so wie es sein soll. Wir essen gern asiatisch und haben dann heute gedacht, ok dann wird das in Elberfeld ja auch nicht verkehrt sein, auf der Karte steht auch Thai-Gerichte ohne Glutamat wie in Barmen. Ich hab das Grüne Curry bestellt, mein Partner gebratene Nudeln mit Rindfleisch, Kind hat Pommes und Gyrosfleisch bekommen.
Was soll ich sagen: das Grüne Curry war so ziemlich ungenießbar. Schon die Farbe sagte mir: das kann gar nicht gut schmecken. Da war überhaupt keine Kokosmilch drin, sondern offensichtlich aus irgendeiner Fertigmischung zusammen gepanschte Sosse, dazu total zerkochter Reisbrei.... einfach schade um das Flesich und die Zutaten! In den gebratenen Nudeln waren noch Reste einer Eierschale drin... wäre für sich genommen kein Weltuntergang, kann passieren. Aber das Gericht triefte vor Fett, der Eigengeschmack von Gemüse und Nudeln kaum noch erkennbar. Einzig das Gyrosfleisch und Pommes vom Kind waren ok, was aber genervt hat war, dass wir die volle Portion bestellen mussten. Hatte vorher gefragt ob wir einfach die halbe Portion haben und bezahlen könnten, weils keine Kindergerichte auf der Karte gab.... war aber kategorisch nicht möglich.
So oder so, das erste und letzte Mal.
