I got Sushi at the Sakura Sushi bar inside the Aal-kate. It is really delicious and not to expensive. Also the quality is staying more or less the same as far as I can tell. I think you should eat at the restaurant if you want to sit down there but take away is as good as staying there. Only on holidays you should reserve or call at least before coming because they are a little busy and you have to wait long periods of time if you don't call before.

I have eaten sushi (as always) and it was one of the best ones, I have eaten in Germany. 1 star is reduced for the friendliness of the service (there is no 4.5).

The stay was ok for one night. The room was clean but very old fashioned. Normally you would expect a bit more value for the money.

Wir waren vom 02.09. bis 05.09.22 Gäste in diesem Hotel und fühlten uns sehr wohl. Die Zimmer waren sauber. Das Frühstück war reichlich und für jeden Geschmack etwas vorhanden. Am Abend aßen wir im Restaurant und es schmeckte uns gut. Sollten wir wieder einmal nach Wuppertal fahren, werden wir - sofern ein Zimmer frei ist - in der Aal-Kate übernachten. Positiv zu erwähnen ist noch, dass es kostenlose Parkplätze am Hotel gibt.

Liegt nicht gerade auf einem schönen Fleckchen aber zu diesem Preis absolut zufriedenstellend.
Zimmer wirkten so modern, wie die meiner Oma 1975 aber alles sehr sauber und obwohl das Bett schon Jahrzehnte hinter sich hat, habe ich sehr gut geschlafen.
Leckeres Frühstück und die Möglichkeit auf ein gutes Esssen im angeschlossenen Restaurant. Hatte nicht die Zeit, hab aber einige angerichtete Teller an mir vorbeikommen gesehen.
