Worst experience of my life (no exaggeration)! On the day that I was supposed to check in, I received a notification that the front desk would be closed during the night. Since I was traveling, there was no way for me to see the notification on time. When I arrived in Germany, my credit cards as well as my SIM card were all blocked. Since there was no way for me to pay with my credit card, nor with cash (the front desk was closed), I had to spend the night in the airport. Three days later, my card has been charged, although I never managed to check in. I reached out to them, and they said it was not their fault (that they notified me the front desk would be closed a few hours before my check in, that there was no way for me to pay with cash and that there was no one to ask for help at midnight), and hence they wouldn't be able to refund me. My advice: choose a hotel where they actually care about their visitors.
