Great place in Oberhausen for some Bavarian food. The place is totally decorated with a Bavarian theme and it was very full. I ordered a alcohol free beer and a Schweinehaxen (Pork Knuckle). The pork knuckle was served with baked potatoes. The meat was very tender and tasty, while the skin was very crusty and crispy. It was super delicious! Super recommend!

This place was a real treat in respect to getting good Bavarian food and beer in the North Rein. I used to go to another restaurant in Essen but I will definately be back to this one as it is much better.

I came in a group of 8 and they were all English speaking people. The wait staff was great anwering any questions the group had as well as providing them English menus.

I had the Schweinehaxen (Pork Knuckle) with roast potatoes and it was perfect. The skin was super crisp, the meat was really tender, a fantastic dish with great quality.

The Weissbeir, well it's true Bavarian Weissbeir. I've been to the brewery and it did not disappoint. I did try the banana Weissbeir and really enjoyed it. Give it a shot if you want a treat. It's not sweet but a great banana taste added to a really good beer.

If you haven't tried it yet and you are in Oberhausen, give it a try you won't be disappointed.

The "Schweinshaxe" (pork knuckle) was perfect imo - super crispy skin with tender meat and a tasty gravy. The Schnitzel was ok, and so was the "Caipirinha", which lacked a bit of lemon and sugar. The waitress didn't speak English at all, but was very experienced and handled all situations well. If the weather allows it you would want to sit outside to have a chat while seeing people passing by. The toilets are upstairs in an area that seemed busy before the pandemics.

I went on December 29, 2019. Ordered the Veal Schnitzel with hollandaise sauce that was very good. But for dessert we ordered a KAISERSCHMARR‘N that looked gorgeous but when I started eating I found burnt pieces underneath. We told the waiter and he just said he could ask to have another one done, for which we didn’t had time to wait. Despite showing the burnt pieces I did not eat (originally thought that’s how the dessert was) they charged us fir the dessert. Very bad customer service. Do not recommend

Excellent local food like gulasch soup or cream patato soup. Traditional sousages with mash patato and cabbage. Pretty crowded and usually full for weekends. Service fast enough, pretty good job they do. Anyway beer to try is obligatory Franziskaner whisse beer as it is apsolute top there. For smokers there is also terrace with gas heaters so even now in November you can enjoy there. Sure this is one of places where we go regularly and will come back again.

Good menu with wide choice of different German dishes. Big plates, nice service and a cozy an warm atmosphere. Took quite some time until dinner was served, but quality was good.
