Service is good and we're not all to bothered but it can get really loud because of the bar on the ground floor. The apartment could be cleaner and smell better but for a short stay it's fine. The wifi is particularly great. For German standards it's quite fast

The walls are cracked, mold in the bathroom and in the back room, the beds worn out and partly already broken, the floor and tables sticky, the rooms are very noisy and the bar on the ground floor makes it very noisy and strangers stick to it through the bar People in the stairwell who also use the toilet there. Because of this and the situation in general, you feel very unsafe. A bus driver pointed out the unsafe situation to us and advised the women around us not to stay there alone, especially in the evening. Furthermore, lamps, handles on the windows, sockets and kitchen appliances were broken, like the kettle, from which the water simply ran out below.

Wir sind für 2 Nächte mit 8 Personen in Oberhausen in der Grenzstrasse untergekommen. Um mit dem positiven anzufangen: die Buchung und Planung im Voraus sowie die telefonische Begleitung vor Ort liefen gut.
Leider wurden wir bereits beim Betreten der Unterkunft sehr enttäuscht, da die Bilder, die auf Google zu finden sind, keinerlei der Realität entsprechen. Auf unseren Bildern hier haben wir nur einige wenige der Mängel festgehalten. Das einzige Zimmer, was einigermaßen in Ordnung war, war die Küche mit klebrigem Tisch und Rauch-Geruch. Das Bad ebenfalls eine Katastrophe. Die Wände sind rissig, Schimmel im Bad und in dem hinteren Zimmer, die Betten durchgelegen und teilweise schon kaputt, Boden und Tische klebrig, die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig und es ist durch die Bar im EG sehr laut und es halten sich durch die Bar fremde Menschen im Treppenhaus auf, die dort auch die Toilette benutzen. Dadurch und allgemein durch die Lage fühlt man sich sehr unsicher. Eine Busfahrerin hat uns auf die unsichere Lage hingewiesen und den Frauen der Runde abgeraten, sich vor allem abends dort alleine aufzuhalten. Des Weiteren waren Lampen, Griffe an den Fenster, Steckdosen und Küchengeräte kaputt, wie der Wasserkocher, aus dem einfach das Wasser unten heraus lief.
Alles in allem: keine Empfehlung.

Positiv war der reibungslose Ablauf und die Lage der Wohnung. Wir waren zu viert für 2 Nächte in einem 2-Zimmer-Apartment, um ein Konzert in der Turbinenhalle zu besuchen. Binnen weniger Minuten waren wir mit dem Taxi da, aber auch Bus fahren ging sehr gut.
Trotz alle dem werden wir die Wohnung nicht wieder buchen. Angefangen vom kaum vorhandenen warmen Wasser, über die hohe Lärmbelästigung aus den anderen Zimmern und dem Hausflur, bis hin zu starkem Schimmel in der ganzen Wohnung. Die Tapete hat sich dadurch an manchen Stellen bereits gelöst.. Des Weiteren Dreck an den Decken und Lampen, kackende Stromkabel, und eine sehr mau ausgestattete "Schrankküche", das Geschirr ordentlich zu hinterlassen war kaum möglich.
Preis-Leistung ist nur hinsichtlich der Lage top, für alles andere unterirdisch.

Another problem was that one of the room doors could not be closed because the door latch was out with the door open, but no key fitted into the lock. So this door was open the whole weekend. If all the guests know each other that is not a problem, but sometimes the rooms are also rented separately, so that you share with strangers the apartment, because it would be an absolute no-go. Unfortunately, the company A-Domo was not accessible at night, when I noticed the problem, contrary to the previous statement of an employee to be reached 24 hours a day. The biggest problem is by far the extreme volume, the Cocktail / Shisha Bar El Dorado, which is located directly under the apartment. Party mood and extreme basses are expected until about 4 o'clock in the morning, at least on weekends, sleep was hardly to think about. Unfortunately this was not communicated to us before arrival and was the (really very friendly) lady from the reception in Mülheim a.d. Ruhr also apparently not known, since until recently probably a casino was rented to ground floor and there probably never had problems. The residential area seems to be marginal, according to various taxi driver, one of us gave the advice as possible at night to stay in motion and not too long to stop (I remember, we were eleven!).
To be fair, I have to say that we stayed at A-Domo in Mülheim and everything was fine. This review refers exclusively to the living situation in Grenzstr. 53. Here we will definitely make a bow in the future.

Wir waren mit 11 Personen vom 8.12. bis zum 10.12.2017 im 1.OG einer großen Wohnung in der Grenzstr. 53 untergebracht. Die Wohnung selbst wirkt abgewohnt und versprüht teilweise 70er Jahre Flair (Bad, Fliesen in der Küche, Fußboden). Die Küche hätte leider etwas sauberer sein können, das Bad war aber in Ordnung. Leider war das ganze Wochenende über nicht möglich der Dusche warmes Wasser zu entlocken. Eine alternative Duschmöglichkeit gab es aber auf dem Flur. Ein weiteres Problem war, dass eine der Zimmertüren nicht geschlossen werden konnte, da die Türfalle bei offener Tür heraus stand, jedoch kein Schlüssel ins Schloss passte. Also stand diese Tür das komplette Wochenende offen. Wenn sich alle Gäste untereinander kennen ist das kein Problem, teilweise werden die Zimmer aber wohl auch getrennt vermietet, sodass man sich mit fremden Menschen die Wohnung teilt, da wäre das ein absolutes No-Go. Leider war die Firma A-Domo in der Nacht als mir das Problem auffiel, entgegen der vorherigen Aussage eines Mitarbeiters 24 Stunden am Tag erreichbar zu sein, eben nicht erreichbar. Das größte Problem ist aber mit Abstand die extreme Lautstärke, der Cocktail/Shisha Bar El Dorado, die sich direkt unter der Wohnung befindet. Party Stimmung und extreme Bässe sind bis ca. 4 Uhr Morgens zumindest am Wochenende zu erwarten, an Schlaf war da kaum zu denken. Leider wurde uns dies vor Anreise nicht mitgeteilt und war der (wirklich sehr freundlichen) Dame von der Rezeption in Mülheim a.d. Ruhr offenbar auch nicht bekannt, da bis vor kurzem wohl ein Casino um Erdgeschoss eingemietet war und es da wohl nie Probleme gab. Die Wohngegend scheint laut Aussage diverser Taxi Fahrer wohl auch grenzwertig zu sein, einer gab uns den Rat möglichst nachts in Bewegung zu bleiben und nicht zu lange stehen zu bleiben (ich erinnere, wir waren zu elft!).
Fairerweise muss ich aber sagen, dass wir auch schon bei A-Domo in Mülheim übernachtet haben und dort war alles okay. Diese Rezension bezieht sich damit ausschließlich auf die Wohnsituation in der Grenzstr. 53. Hier werden wir in Zukunft defintiv einen Bogen drum machen.
