Such a beautiful church that is filled with history. There are also many Pokemon Go stops in the area!

St. Jakob is a medieval church located at Jakobplatz. Dedicated to Saint James the Greater, the church has a long history dating back to the early 13th century.

Badly damaged during WWII bombings, St. Jakob was restored with modifications. The exterior maintains its medieval appearance, brown brick walls and a single tower. However, the interior shows includes modern and conservative features. The Nave is a simple hall. There is a very attractive high altar that dates to the 14th-century. That was the most interesting thing we found inside.

Give St. Jakob a brief visit if you like seeing historic churches during your travels. You can conveniently combine with the Neo-classical Elisabethkirche which is just across the square from St. Jakob.

Fun and amazing. You could experience real European 'religion' in there. Also, it is a cool place for everyone to go.

Went to an Anglican service here on Boxing Day, whilst visiting from the UK. A wonderful, warm welcome and a beautiful service. Thank you to all concerned.
