If you want to become a number and not a human, if you want to be a victim of the tensions between doctors and caretakers, if you love to be ignored, if you like to wait with no communication- then Klinikum Süd is the place to go. A nice infrastructure and amenities could not hide the fact: doctors are the best educated academic robots with zero empathy, while lovely caretakers are doing impossible tasks which will break any human some day - a ticking time bomb. I do not wish for you to ever have to make the experience of any hospital, nor have an emergency. But if you do: here are some advices: find somebody in your personal circle of friends who knows a doctor in the hospital to keep hope to make any personal relationship and be heard. Try to accumulate as much as information about your doctors from the websites of the hospitals etc like knowing their hobbies, their golf handicap etc: they love that you show interest in them, maybe (tiny maybe) they will show interest in you. If someone asks “does it hurt”, it’s a rhetorical question. They are not strict on the visiting times, because visitors usually take much better care anyhow - so they don’t mind.
In a stressful situation (falling off a ladder, concussion with some internal bleeding), the Klinikum Süd has been extremely successful in making it an even worse situation.
