Love the cafe and the surroundings it’s so beautiful! One of my favourite spots. The only downside is the opening hours can be a bit unpredictable and if you arrive in the hour before they close they try and talk you out of staying. But other than that it’s a great little place

Very cozy, somewhat old school and charming Caffè with a wide variety of newspapers and a pretty view on an inner green courtyard. Tried a cherry cake and some coffee here. The cake was delicious and so filling that I had no trouble skipping lunch that day. It's a plus that it's basically inside the library, which just adds to the unique atmosphere.
Definitely recommend.

Library cafe with beautiful court yard garden surrounded by medieval architecture. Menu includes sandwiches, soup, and cake. All ok but nothing special - feels like they don't have to try very hard because of the regular footfall from library visitors. All in all a beautiful spot for a coffee, especially in summer. Access and exit is via the library.

I like this place for it's cake and coffee. I wish they had more food options. The ambience is very cosy and the courtyard during summer is perfect location for reading books .

A blessing that the two friendly ladies were able to save this cozy, lovingly maintained facility through the pandemic and closure!
Outstanding cakes and tarts, delicious salads and quiches. A place for relaxing contemplation and undisturbed reading of all daily newspapers from the adjoining city library.

Eines der schönsten Cafés — weit über Frankens Grenzen hinaus! Eine stille, üppig bepflanzte Oase mitten in der histor. Altstadt, fernab der Touristenströme, nur leises Geplätscher und Vogelgesang im ehem. Kreuzgang des kriegszerstörten Katharinenklosters.
Ein Segen, dass die beiden freundlichen Damen diese gemütliche, liebevoll gepflegte Einrichtung durch Pandemie und Schließung retten konnten!
Hervorragende Kuchen und Torten, köstliche Salate und Quiche. Ein Ort für entspannende Einkehr und ungestörte Lektüre aller Tageszeitungen aus der anschließenden Stadtbibliothek.
