Yes, the pub downstairs is nice and the overall ambience is pretty authentic. But the service is highly questionable, to say the least.
We had an overall great evening last night with some beers and food. The place was a bit busy, but nothing unusual for a day before a holiday. Everything was fine until we ordered the check.
We were told to pay at the counter. So far, so good. We grabbed our beer coasters and went to the front. Everyone paid (around 70-80 € in total) until the waitress told us, there were three beers missing according to her cash register. Odd cause everyone had paid exactly, what was on the coaster and they documented every order, they brought to our table on it. But she then said, yeah, it's alright and we could leave.
So we left a little befuddled, checking again, what we had, because the total amount was about right, but no one ever got a bill (!).
Soon as we're outside a second waitress stormed outside and accused my friend, that he didn't pay.
Well, spoiler alarm he did. But while he had no bill to prove it, he followed her inside to unravel this situation.
End of the story:
He of course had already paid for those three beers, but their system of accounting is not reliable, when they switch between waitresses for service and check out. Well yes, everyone makes mistakes. But when you're blaming a customer, you might just do it a bit more professional and not in the middle of the street in front of your very own guests (!), so that you're feeling like some sort of criminal.
2/5 for the nice interior and the good music. Food and drinks are okay. Might look for another place to play a round of cards though.
