Delicious food! I ordered tomato soup and my boyfriend some pasta with mushroom sauce and grilled chicken. Food arrived in 10-15 minutes. Great restaurant and amazing staff. PS : They speak English ????

Great place for lunch or dinner. Looked pretty busy so make a reservation. Food was excellent and nice portions. Service was friendly and quick.

The food here is tasteless and unseasoned. My Fiance and I ordered the rump steak and gratin, it was surprisingly bland. The vegetables lacked flavour and, based on this, I assume must have been frozen. My fiance doesn't like bacon, but the food was so bland that she couldn't even taste the bacon in my potatoes. It was disappointing.

The waiters are very polite though and deliver a high quality of service. It is a shame about the food because the waitresses are some of the best I have seen in Germany. Maybe we just got unlucky with the food that night or there has been a change in the kitchen, because my fiance went here two years ago with her parents and said it tasted great back then.

We went on Friday the 17th of September. Maybe the regular chef wasn't working that night or there was some kind of problem in the kitchen because our experience of the food really doesn't match that with other reviewers. My fiance also said that something must have changed since the food was great when her and her parents came to Kleiner Kiepenkerl last year.

I would rate 1/5 stars for the food and 5/5 stars for the service. I recommend going to Pinkus for dinner around the corner, where the food is much cheaper and far tastier.

Usually super crowded, and for good reason. We weren't able to get a table at the more popular Kiepenkerl (right next door), but this place has much to offer! The menu has some local specialties, including seasonal specials, which are highly recommended.
