Mid 19th century memorial arch, back then dedicated to the glory of Bavarian army. After WWII serves as a symbol of peace. Can be easily accessed from u-bahn station Universität.

I can say with no doubt that this 3 arch triumph gate represents very well the glory of the bavarian architecture and army back then. designed and built in the mid of 1800's with statue of Bavaria and 4 lions.

A beautiful building in the middle of the street. Many cars around, cannot really take a full picture of the street with the Tor in the middle of it :p

It was more impressive than the Brandenburg gate. Four lions on the top of the gate were very powerful.

add this on your go-to list in Munich. Nice landmark, you'll not spend here more than 10 minutes. English garden is right next to it.
