one of the most famous gate to the old city of munich. the location is now famous for his U-bahn station and a famous coffee terrace nearby. great if you start your journey from here till you reach Marienplatz.

Nice place to meet up for an appointment. Located near to Sendlinger Tor UBahn station. Take gate/door B to reach the location.

From here, you can walk to the north until Marienplatz while seeing nice shop in between.

It was quite impressive to see something so old still standing and looking really stable. It does look different from either side. I quite liked the look of the towers on either side of the gate and was quite excited that you could actually go in. You cant actually go up but it was still an experience. I really like the look of the cobblestones with the bricks of the gate.
There is also a crucifix on the shop side of the gate. I quite enjoyed looking at the ancient structure.

One of the main underground transport stations in central Munich and also where a lot of connections to other U-bahn lines can be done. The station has been under construction for the last few years and likely to last for another few years. The station is very difficult to navigate and the signs are not very clear even for those who speak German and are from the Munich area.

A beautiful monument in one of the most accessible and central spots in the city. Unfortunately the construction work in and around the subway station ruins the scenery and can lead to some confusion for tourists and visitors.

Sendlinger Tor is the southern-most of the three remaining gothic town gates of medieval Munich. It's said that the gate was the starting point for the road to Italy. All that really remains of the gate is the single arch main gate and two flanking towers. It's been restored to such a good state that it's not hard to imagine how imposing it would've looked back in the day.

Not a must see, but you'll likely pass this on the way to the Asam Church which is.
