excellent michelin star restaurant.

The menu looked somehow a bit unassuming, so we almost skipped it. That would have been a big mistake, as the experience is totally worth it.

Very nice selection of dishes, the starters were really creative. The meat was tasty, and the sturgeon was gorgeous. What was quite special was the "Brotzeit", with some delicious bread, butter and so on.

Cozy place, good service. Definitely a recommended one.

Incredible taste, creativity, service, and wine pairing!

The creativity is off the charts. So is the execution. The wine pairing was exceptional. Highly recommended!

tl;dr: special place. Just try it.

Every once in a while, we visit places that feel a bit special. My experience here was like that.

Before I talk about the food, the first thing that caught my attention is that everyone who was there at the time seemed to be in such a great mood... Eaters and servers alike. It just makes for such a pleasant ambiance, even without music. I don't know why that is, and I've never seen anything quite like this in Munich, but it was what it was.

The food is excellent, of course, but it's so bold! Such surprising presentations and flavor/texture combinations! I could have eaten here for hours on end and not be bored.

Gabelspiel became maybe my favorite restaurant in Munich. I may return someday to see if the magic is still there.

Amazing restaurant and delicious food paired perfectly with wine to accompany each dish. Well worthy of their Michelin star and reasonably priced for the quality of food and service you receive.
Servers have excellent knowledge of each dish and wine.
The whole experience was wonderful and I'm looking forward to return!

Amazing! Cute and cosy place with a friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit for an authentic and non-pretensious dinner experience. Something a little different in the 'Munich scene'.

Understated elegance combined with excellent service and great food is what makes for a great night out with friends and family. I felt at home here and really enjoyed my evening.

They listened and served a fabulous meal for our table and served a wonderful meal for the vegetarians amongst our group of six. Great flavors and plenty of courses from start to finish. I just wish we had more bread to soak up the sauces which were exquisite.

Great wine list and a broad selection of wines from Germany, Austria and France amongst others. Except for one course I loved the rest. Happily come here again anytime. It’s cosy, friendly and welcoming. Well deserved Michelin Star and could earn a second with some refining.

Having eaten in most of the starred restaurants in Munich this was indeed special :-)

One of the best gourmet menus ever. Easily in the league of Michelin 2 stars. Every single course except one dessert course was outstanding (the dessert course in question was still very good). Wholeheartedly recommended both in terms of food and service. If you visit one Munich Michelin restaurant, I'd recommend Gabelspiel after this experience.
