On 24.01.2022, I visited this place. The outside looks not promising but the interior design of the inside is pretty nice. The service was really great, kudos to their personnel. The food and drinks were served fast, which one appreciates when hunger is kicking in, but we were a tiny but disappointed with the dishes. Their presentation was pretty (see pic) but the taste was just ok. They were missing something to give them that punch to the flavors.
In any case, I would definitely go back.

I had a great breakfast at Occam Deli today. The Peanut butter french toast was so good! I'm always treated with kindness when I go there.

Good for the drinks. We ordered Beer and Wine. Prices are also not too high. The location is good as you can enjoy the complete street view full of people all around. Nice Experience????

Expensive drinks, below average un-fresh food and incompetent staff. We had drinks there and ordered a range of appetizers to share. The calamari we ordered had gone bad, but since if was cooked with a lot of garlic and oil, it was difficult to tell at first. I got a piece that tasted so off, strong smell and taste of ammonia after chewing, I had to spit it out entirely before worse was going to happen. My boyfriend tried another piece and had the same discovery, so we decided to inform the staff. We did not ask for refund or exchange as other people on the table had ate some already, we simply wanted them to be aware that the calamari had gone off. The waitress looked at us, irritated, when we told her about the dish, and rudely and very aggressively asked us “well what do you want me to do? you already ate some. what do you want me to do about it now?” - we simply explained she/the kitchen should be aware and to please remove the remainder. We did not get a single apology nor explanation.

Went to eat there today but walked away due to an incredibly rude staff member. He sat us outside after we greeted on another and all seemed good but because it started to rain, I walked inside and asked him if we can be moved inside. He by the way wore a yellow shirt on June 6th, 2022. He apparently doesn't pay any attention to his customers because we literally spoke minutes before who had the nerve to tell me when I asked him if we can be moved inside, "how about a good afternoon first". AFTER we already greeted one another and were sat down. His memory is as terrible as his attitude. I was shocked. Being an American and expecting nothing less but a great customer service because afterall, if there were no customers, he would not have this job or establishment.

I have no tolerance for terrible customer service and I walked away since he apparently doesn't understand without customers his establishment would be worth nothing. Have a better attitude, be more conscious of who you speak with and treat your customers with more respect. I could never eat at a place that doesn't know the value of its customers.

We started coming here shortly after it opened some years ago. Originally set up as a modern NY style cafe with a mix of continental and NY deli style food. The concept has evolved over time but some of the basics like good coffee, nice cakes and desserts have still remained. Food here in general is also good but service can be quite inconsistent. The kitchen is pretty efficient here and normally you don’t wait long for your meals. We come here from time to time and will continue to do so.
