We made a reservation for 20:00pm. There was only two workers in the whole restaurant. Our drink and food order was taken after 21:30 the gentleman who I am not sure what to call, was the waiter, cashier,Barman,Host, steward and food runner. We thought of leaving but again most kitchen close at 22:00.

Food came in after 22:00 and by this time the appetite was gone. What is worse than waiting for that long then the food comes cold! My food expectation was very high that I even thought it was worth the wait. To me the goat dish tasted so Basic, there was no wow factor. I could basically boil the meat at home and throw in tomato and onions. Asking for take away took another long time. We left the restaurant at around 23:00.
.

The only thing that felt different was the spicy chilly.

It’s normal that a restaurant can be understaffed but please:-
-Take a number of Guests that you can manage because it should be about quality and not quantity
-inform your Guest that service will be slow so it’s expected
-As much as Multitasking is tough try take drink oders first, thus I get to be entertained by my drink and you get to do an upsell for another 2/3 drinks.

Am I going back to Makula? NO!

A first impression is a lasting impression.

Excellent food and wine with friendly service. I can’t wait to come back for more!!

The range of prices is something rather unique. Some main dishes are under 10€ while some exceed 25€. I find such variety in cost uncommon and appreciate very much that one can dine modestly or splurge. Regardless, I imagine it all to be delicious!

Don’t search further. The loveliest restaurant! Absolutely delicious food served with gentle nature and a warm smile.

The staff speaks at least three languages, English, French and German which was very handy for my family and I.

Was really good! Something I have never tried till now in my life. We had this lamb soup with yam thingy cooked with peanuts sauce, that was genius! The owner was super funny and friendly, explained us a lot about African food culture and what is the specialty in the Western Africa. I had a great time ther :)

What a star ⭐️. One of the greatest restaurant experiences I have ever had. The owner was very informative and, speaks, English, French and, German. If you are looking for a taste of west Africa, look no more. This restaurant, the music, the owner and, the food all reflect West Africa. The restaurant was clean, and the food was exquisite. I felt at home, I felt safe. Keep it up sir and, thank you for the experience.

Great food and environment! Flavors that reminded me back about my home country Venezuela. The owner has a great sense of humor!
