Kooks opens a little later in the evening and starts off quietly. By the small hours, the place is packed with hip and friendly patrons of diverse backgrounds. It's one of the most good-natured venues I've found in Munich. Normally there is a DJ playing great music. Coming and going or outside smoking, be as quiet as a mouse because the neighbours apparently complain at the slightest pin drop!

Attended Storytellers Night and the place offers a cozy, relaxed and engaging ambiance. It was crowded and the MC trippled as a stand-up comedian, storyteller and bartender. Impressive! Will come again just to experience the bar on a quieter evening.

Visited the place for the storyteller evening. Small place but a fun Canadian bar tender and an Indian MJ. the stories were real, some serious and some funny. Great evening overall.

A cozy place, to attend amazingly cool events.

The musical improv is amazing.

It would be over a donkey's dead ass before they would ever let me in the place. Ha! Little do they know that I wear a disguise! They think I am that nice gentleman Yank! Well, the chuckles are all mine! If you happen to come in and see a well suited oldish looking man wearing white sunglasses and a bearded face held up by a tweed hat, don't be giving me away! The code word is "messerschmiddity", said with a wink and a wink.
