I’m no expert when it comes to Asian cuisine (with the exception of Indian) but Hanoi’s curry was a true revelation for me as I had no idea that Vietnamese food can be spicy on top of the exploding flavors. And the chilly, oh the chilly! From a design perspective the place is sleek and nice but nothing special. I disagree with the negative comments I’ve read re the service. They are very polite and helpful. Only downside for me is that vegetarian means that you can select the Tofu option whereas I would like to be able to just get a veggie carry etc. I mean I could but the price should also be lower for veggie only options. And, with that said, Hanoi is also a bit on the pricey side too.

Honestly I am surprised that this restaurant does not have better rating.
The dishes we had there were probably the best vietnamesse dishes we ever tried. We had 1 vegan and 1 meat dish and both were incredibly tasty. The way they prepare and serve crispy duck is different and better than anywhere else.
Prices are tiny bit higher than prices in other usual Munich restaurants, but in my opinion it is completely wort it.

Sometimes the services takes a bit too long to get to you.

I had a red curry. It was ok. I have the impression the quality is below average but the prices the same or higher than other Vietnamese restaurants which have much better standards.

Obviously this is a German-Vietnam kitchen with new ideas. I appreciate the salad - Mango duck, but mango tastes weird… probably because the imported fruits somehow hard to control the quality, unexpectedly mess up. Besides, the skin from steamed dumplings is thicker than standard…

Considering how many (and good) Vietnamese restaurants are in Munich, the food here was satisfactory at best.

Amazing Noodle wok, super tasty food in general, dumplings also delicious, friendly staff and nice vibe. Highly recommended
