I will cross the Atlantic and visit Munich just to eat at Garam Masala. Their lentil soup is to die for and worth the trip in itself. I bought there countless of people and no one left disappointed. I confess I searched and searched the internet to find the recipe , tried many but never came close to the flavor or that soup. The rest of the menu is excellent but the lentil soup is outstanding

Normally, I don’t write reviews but since I totally disagree with the recent ratings I had to write one. The food at Garam Massala is excellent and the service is also great. As a neighbour, I’m a regular customer here. Can definitely recommend Palak Paneer as well as all the other dishes. In my opinion really one of the best Indian restaurants in Munich.

Being vegetarian we had limited options and being with another friend who had wanted particular dishes, we ended up heading here. While the ambience was nice like others in the neighborhood, the inside was quite warm as the time passed, though there were barely 5 guests in total in 2 tables at the time. The flavours were good, but the gobhi pakodas and aloo gobhi (cauliflower) dishes felt they were undercooked. This could have been better to improve the overall experience.

The ambiance is good, food is tasty and menu is pricey. I recommend this place for a good date and to taste Indian food. It's not as spicy as the restaurant name sounds but the food is worth a try for foreign nationals. However Indians who wants to have the spiciest food, steer away.

Foolish restaurant policy of not allowing even own water bottle.
Food was also average. Coming from india I wouldn't recommend to eat here

Normally in restaurants they serve rice to the gravy. These people don’t serve rice. Not at all customer friendly.

Absolutely delicious traditional Indian dishes and very friendly service in a nice and quiet setting. A huge variety of menu items to choose from including a vegetarian menu. Definitely recommend!
