We loved this place! It is like stepping back in time with Bavarian décor and ambiance. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the food was terrific! We regret we could only eat there one time during our stay. We so wanted to eat there again. The portions were generous as well. We are from the US but love Germany and seldom get authentic German food, so this place was a real treat. Sehr lecker!

Nice place for real Bayern food. Always packed with locals, which is a good sign :) Their Schnitzel is worth a recommendation.

I did not dine here. I only had a couple of drinks. Just as I remember from 2 yrs ago, the staff is still rude. However, this seems to be the trend in Munich, not just this establishment, these days.

Great pork roast and other Bavarian specialties. Also, tasty asparagus dishes are served during season. The inside is very traditional Bavarian style and can hold a huge crowd. The beer garden unfortunately is located right next to a busy road which makes it a notch less enjoyable than other venues in the area.
The owner seems to be very eager to improve his dishes and is gathering feedback from his visitors in person. Very nice touch. Apparently the meat balls are spectacular - will try the next time.
