Absolutely delighted with the service. The staff serving us was extremely helpful and courteous. The food was good and we had a good time at Zentrale. A good place to have some chilled beers in the afternoon or some sparkling wine in the evening. The place is sometimes crowded but very lively.

The food was decent and the portion was extremely generous. However, the service was terrible… Waited at least 30min to order and another 30min to pay… they were clearly short handed.

An outdoor sitting place with indoor dining options as well. This guest house central restaurant is a good location downtown with authentic German cuisine and offers a wide variety of other cuisines such as pizza as well. The portions are big. The waiters are too busy shuttling between different customers, so don't expect a customized attention but they are friendly and let you feel at home.
If you are allergic to passive smoking consider sitting indoors as the Germans don't care about it! Ask for a card payment in advance as it goes beyond German norms, to pay digitally ????

15 of us visited this place to have a dinner and we had the most surreal experience ever. We started to move some tables together -obviously 1 or 2 is not enough for so many people. One of the waitresses stopped and lectured us with several eyerolls that we cant move the tables even if those belongs to the same restaurant. Then we waited 20 minutes when the other waitress appeared - but not came to our table. Once I managed to ask for a drink, she said I cant order, she will come back later. I insisted to order but she left. Another 10 minutes later she came and finally she noted our drinks and food. We had to wait another 20 minutes to get them. Later I ordered a Coke twice but never got it. At the end they didn’t provide slip about our payment stating that they cant give us one as we are paying with credit card. The food was tolerable, didn’t worth all the struggle we survived. I strongly suggest to look for another place.

I have never experienced such a bad service.
A waiter reproaching us for paying by card and not giving tips and coughing openly at us.
A salad which came without dreasing, despite requesting 3 times.

We're Australian's who have been travelling around Germany for the past 5+ weeks which means we've had all of our dinners at restaurants and, tonight, we had the worst experience we've had in any continent we've travelled.
Now, please understand that the 1 star is for the camembert and greek salad that I ordered but the rest of the stars are missing for my husbands received well done rumpsteak when he ordered rare, also didn't arrive till I'd nearly finished both of my plates.
It was discussed with the waiter, whom seemed to understand and even stated that "it will take longer" which we agreed to.
20 minutes later, we asked where it was
and the waiter seemed to go and check ... but didn't return!
30 minutes later and we insist on the waiter's attention to find out that he thought we didn't want a replacement rumpsteak - so, why were we sitting here for an extra 30 minutes being ignored?
We paid for what was billed, the items that HAD arrived and now I'm sitting opposite my starving husband in a nearby pizzeria.
Do yourselves a favour, DO NOT ORDER THE RUMPSTEAK, any 10yr old Aussie can bbq meat better!

The food was good and the staff was friendly. Lots of different items on the menu. They do have English menus if necessary. The atmosphere was laid back and casual, and a little cozy. Prices are good as well. Overall good experience.
