We stayed at NYX for three nights. The hotel is very wellupdated and modern. The room and the bathrooms are clean and new. The staff atthe front desk, as well as the ladies who take care of the room cleaning, arevery courteous and professional. There were three of us sharing a room. When wechecked in, it did not have the bedding and sheets for the small sofa bed, butupon request, it was brought in promptly. There is a small safe in the room, asmall refrigerator (no freezer) and sufficient space to accommodate our needs.The sofa bed is a bit narrower than a twin size bed, but it was reasonably comfortable.There were plenty of outlets strategically located throughout the room. Whenone travels with laptops, phones, headsets, smartwatches, etc, that need to beregularly charged, the value of outlets cannot be overlooked. The bathroomspace was conveniently allocated, between sink, shower and the toilet. The onesmall drawback is the half-wall glass enclosure of the shower favored in Europein general…. No matter how hard one tries, the water will splash out on thefloor a bit, but it is nothing major, the floor towel takes care of that.
The internet connection at the hotel was fast and reliable.We were very impressed with its performance. Most importantly, the room had anAC unit located above the entry door. It was sufficient to properly cool theroom (our stay coincided with the heat wave) and not blow directly on thepeople in the bed. Our room was on the first level, which would be consideredsecond by the U.S. standards. It was quiet at night, and we did not hear any ofthe neighbors, sound insulation is great. High ceilings and large windows werea plus.
In addition, NYX is centrally located, just a minute walk toMarktplatz, where one can catch a tram to the main train station, as well as tonearby towns. They also have farmer’s market on Saturdays. We walked everywherefrom the hotel, despite the heat, and all the places of interest were withinreasonable walking distance. Numerous restaurants, cafes and shopping nearby.Super convenient location. There are a number of amenities at the hotel, thoughwe only used the game area to play a few games of pool. We are very happy with our stay here andwould love to return to this hotel.
