Nach meinen zahlreichen Besuchen in diesem Mannheimer Juwel sehe ich mich nun in der Pflicht, eine Bewertung zu hinterlassen.
Die saisonale Speisekarte ist ein wahrer Traum. Wie mir der Koch im Gespräch verriet werden alle Zutaten sowohl saisonal, als auch lokal gekauft und diese Frische spürt man bei jedem Bissen.
Le Langoustine glänzt mit einer selbstverständlichen Exzellenz, welche man beim Personal ausnahmslos wahrnimmt.
Wie bereits bei den anderen Rezensionen erwähnt ist die Reservierung von Tischen kaum und nur über Beziehungen möglich. Aber was kann man anderes erwarten bei Gaumenfreuden wie Tomatencrepês mit einer Parmaschinken-Büffelmozzarella-Füllung? (Siehe Foto)
Des Weiteren wird mit Cocktails und Longdrink von höchstem Niveau geglänzt und damit meine ich nicht nur eine umfangreiche Auswahl an Gins für den Gin Tonic, sondern eine umfangreiche Beratung durch den Oberbarkeeper die seinesgleichen in Mannheim und deutschlandweit sucht.
Lediglich bei der Weinkarte ist noch etwas Lust nach oben. Zwar ist der Hauswein vorzüglich, die weitere Auswahl könnte jedoch umfangreicher sein. Dies liegt wohl an den begrenzten Kapazitäten des Weinkellers.
Abschließend kann ich sagen, dass trotz des gehobenen Dresscodes, welcher hier vorherrscht, eine Atmosphäre entsteht die ich in dieser Art und Weise noch nicht erlebt habe.
Man fühlt sich fast als würde man mit alten Studienfreunden dinieren.
