Best Western Hotel Mannheim City

Nice hotel. My friend and I visited Mannheim and we chose to stay for the night at the Best Western Hotel. The woman at the reception was very nice, she welcomed us with a wonderful smile and made us feel comfortable from the very first moment. We got a nice room with 2 beds and a balcony. It was a clean room, the only thing was a locked door that probably connected us to the room next to ours, so we could hear all the noises. But everything else was nice.

It is horrible. The reservations were messed up and some of our friends ended up having to rearrange their rooms. Everyone from the service staff were indifferent about the situation.

The room was cleaned but whoever clean it left a bug under a cup. (Said cup was supposed complementary cup that is supposed to be for drinking water. Look at the pictures). This show us that they don’t take seriously they’re job of cleaning. The pillows were dirty and with some kind of oxide stain as well as the fan was not cleaned in months.

It would recommend closing this hotel.

The room smelled like someone before was smoking. A lot of students so during weekends it's a problem, it gets noisy during nights. The bedsheets and towels have no significant smell that they are clean.... Pillows are huge and not comfy at all. Room space was ok and decent storage space.

The location is not far from the centre and the prices were ok. But that is where the good things end. I booked specifically a standard QUEEN room with 1 large bed, which is a different option at a different price than the standard TWIN room. To our surprise, when we arrived they said that they were booked out and didn't have any more queen beds. I chose that hotel and that room for a reason!! Never again will I set foot on a Best Western. 3 stars and everything way too old and dirty for that rating.

Good to stay for one night. Very outdated rooms. Breakfast is simple, but descent choice.

The hotel was excellent. The room was very clean, it had a hot teapot ready for when when arrived. It also had enough space for our luggage. Although, the breakfast buffet didn't have a variety of food, it was good.
